HLNC 20/21 Season Team Trials
We are a friendly, local netball club whom are welcoming any current, returning and new netballers’ to trial for a Hinckley Ladies Netball Team this year. If you are interested in participating in the Coventry & North Warwickshire Netball League (on Saturday’s for seniors, and Sunday’s for juniors) by playing in one of Hinckley Ladies’ teams this season, please fill out the below form.
If you just wish to train with us, you do not need to trial. Our Wednesday training sessions are open to everyone. Find out more information on training here.
Our senior teams are mainly recommended for those 16 or over, however you need to be aged 13 or over (as of September 1st 2020) to trial for seniors. If you are younger than this, then we have junior teams for those aged 11 to 17. There is no age limit to netball!
New COVID regulations
Before attending trials or training, please read through our new COVID safety procedures that the club will have in place. You can find all COVID information on our COVID guidelines webpage, or you can message our COVID officer Emma Draycott for more information.

Our Saturday match dates for this season senior matches are below. Games will either commence at either 10:0am; 12:45; or 15:00, with the time being confirmed by the Tuesday before each game. Junior Match Information:
Fixtures for junior teams are played on Sunday mornings at either 9:30am, 10:30am or 11:30am. We are yet to have confirmation on when the “competitive season” is due to begin for the junior league. In the meantime, clubs who participate in the league are going to split into groups of four and will play each other in friendly matches up until Christmas 2020. These will be played both at our own home grounds, and the opponents grounds. All matches are local to Coventry & Warwickshire and no ground takes more than 40mins to travel to from our courts. As a club, we do not have the facilities to provide transport to players – players will need to arrange their own means of travel to get to fixtures. We will update you on the match dates as soon as we have these.
England Netball Registrations:
If you are signing up to trials as a returning member, please make sure you complete your England Netball registration as soon as possible. To do this, you would have received an email from England Netball on 3rd August (titled “Pledge your support and help netball #RiseAgain”) with a direct link to payment, or you can sign into your ENgage account to pay from there (engage.englandnetball.co.uk) The code for an optional 30% off is RISE2020 (up to 30th September).
If you are signing up as a new member, then we can provide information on how we can get you registered to England Netball at trials.

Trials are held on Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings (seniors)/ Sunday mornings (juniors).
All trials will take place at our outdoor courts, which are based at the Hinckley Rugby Club ground. The postcode for this is LE10 3DR. This is also our home ground for all matches and training sessions.
We recommend you coming to as many trial dates as you can make, but ideally we need to see everyone who is trialling attend at least one of the sessions. If you cannot make any of the dates (e.g. due to holiday or work commitments, or if you do not feel safe returning to netball yet but would like to be in a team), please still submit the trial form and we will contact you for further information.
We currently have five senior teams (A, B, C, D and E) in the Coventry & North Warwickshire League (divisions 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8), and 3 junior teams (of a mix of U14’s and U16’s), so can cater for a mix of abilities.
When trialling, we ask people to select at least two positions to allow our teams to have flexibility throughout the season. You will be trialled in all positions you select, and potentially another if our selectors believe you also have talent elsewhere on court. Players will be selected into a team only, opposed to a specific position in that team. During the season, it will then be decided between your team, with your captain or coach having the final decision, on what positions people play for matches. This will obviously take into account what position you play and selected to trial at, but it will also help teams to switch around and work out the best positioning that works for all players.
If you have any questions, please contact the below. We hope to see you at trials!
