Hinckley Ladies Netball Junior sessions cater for young players of all abilities, and players can join us from school year 7 (age 11). Once players reach school year 11 (age 15-16) they are able to train with our senior teams.

We realise how difficult it can be to come to a brand new club, only knowing a few people and trying to find your feet straight away but we can guarantee a warm welcome and a friendly group of players.

We like to ensure players enjoy the game whilst learning new skills, and our training sessions are designed with age and ability in mind. We have a mixture of sessions ranging from coached skills and drills (with a qualified level 2 coach) to work on specific game sections, rules or positions; fun fitness sessions to help improve our players health and fitness and ‘tournament’ sessions to put their new skills into practice in a match scenario.

Training for Hinckley Ladies Juniors is held on a Wednesday night 6.30pm-7.30pm, and matches are on a Sunday morning.

Junior Trials

We currently have three U16 teams  entered into the Coventry & North Warwickshire junior league in the 19/20 season, and we are hopefully looking to expand this to have an U14 team in the 20/21 season.

Our netball season runs from October to April, and so we typically host trials over the summer. To trial for a team, we ask that you have good commitment to Wednesday training (6:30-7:30pm), and good commitment to matches (these will be on Sunday’s at either 9.30, 10.30 or 11.30am at Finham Park School in Coventry). Come back closer to the time for more information on trials.

We have several different payment options:

Block payment:  6 sessions for £15 (you get the 6th session free).

Pay as you play: £3 per session

Team members payment: Additional costs occur for players who are competing in games. See our current payment information for the 19/20 season here: Payment Information 19-20.  Please note that this is subject to change for future seasons, and will be confirmed and communicated after trials.

How do I join?

You just need to turn up to a training session and the first training session with us is free.

What do I need to bring to a training session?

Please ensure you have a bottle of water to enable you to keep hydrated during the training session. Also make sure you have the correct footwear- ideally sports trainers.

You should be in comfortable sportswear for training and remember that we train outside all year round so ensure your outfit is suitable for the weather conditions.

Matches will be played on a Sunday morning (currently at the Xcel Centre, Coventry). Our juniors who opt to participate in the Coventry & Warwickshire Junior League will be required to wear club kit. These are available for players to order at the beginning of the season. Please see members’ kit section for details and prices.
