HLNC Is going purple – Let’s stand up and support Epilepsy

It’s estimated that 1 in 100 people have epilepsy and as a club we have had first hand experience of inclusion and sport being able to work along side Epilepsy. To celebrate this and help support the charities that work so hard for our loved ones, we are holding a one off interclub walking Netball tournament to support and hopefully raise some money for such a good cause.

Please wear anything purple, a t-shirt a hat, trousers whatever you can get hold of, even face paint if you wish!

DATE:

Wednesday 22nd March

TIME:

6.30pm – 7.30pm

WHO:

Juniors, Seniors and social players, past and present members, all are welcome.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Please wear a purple top and normal sports gear

EXTRA INFO:

Please arrive 10 minutes early to warm up.

It is a walking tournament so please be aware there may be some injured players taking part and there won’t be any running allowed.

Some extra faction Epilepsy:

Throughout history, many famous people are known or are suspected of having had epilepsy. These include:

Julius Caesar
Alexander the Great
Agatha Christie
Vincent Van Gogh
Charles Dickens
Actor Danny Glover
Singer-songwriter Neil Young
Adam Horovitz of the music group Beastie Boys
Mike Skinner from band The Streets
