Seniors
Hinckley Ladies Netball Club have five teams registered in the Coventry and Warwickshire Netball Association League (CWNA). This league is played on Saturdays from the end of September through to the end of March, with a League “End of Season” tournament in April.
Our seniors train every Wednesday 7:30-9pm, with a variety of coached sessions, fitness sessions and inter-cub tournaments. Check out our calendar to see what’s on when.
Senior Trials
Each year the club holds trials for players looking to compete around June/July time to select teams for the forthcoming season. Trials are announced in May on our social channels and details can also be found in the calendar.
If you are wishing to join part way through our season, we still welcome new players all year round. Whilst we can’t promise you’ll get a position in a competing team mid-way through a season (this is dependent on if any spaces become available), we have numerous ‘social players’ who train with us weekly.
Fixtures
Coventry & Warwickshire Netball Association (CWNA)
The CWNA league currently has 8 divisions. HLNC is the only Leicester based club playing in the league and this season we will have 5 teams playing in divisions 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8. All matches take place on a Saturday at either a home or away venue at 10.30am, 12.45pm or 3.00pm.
Our home matches are played on Our Courts situated at Leicester Road Sports Ground, Leicester Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 3DR. We play in an outdoor league and as such the courts that we use have floodlighting facilities. Away matches take place around the Leamington, Rugby and Coventry areas, and ‘car sharing’ is often arranged between teams.
Out of season netball
Throughout the year the club organises additional events for those that wish to participate. We continue to offer all club members the opportunity to play in an unaffiliated league during the summer months to develop their skills in preparation for the league matches commencing in September. We also hold our own annual “Beth’s” mixed tournament each summer, alongside other fun events for both members and non-members to participate in such as pay and play on some Wednesdays throughout Summer.
Social Events
The clubs events team plan an annual social calendar with entertainment and activities aimed at both junior and senior members. As a self-funded club some of our events include fundraising activities to support the running of the club.
