Saturday 23rd October – HLNC F Team Match Report

Hinckley Ladies F team played away to Cherry Bombs this week in what was a game of two halves.  The first game in the rain proved to be a challenge for both teams and whilst a determined Cherry bombs team started to take the lead in the first 5 minutes of the game, Hinckley managed to pull this back with hard defending forcing a number of errors by the Cherry Bombs attackers followed by some great shots at goal achieved for Hinckley.  At half time the score was 14–13 to Hinckley.  The third quarter started to prove difficult with Cherry Bombs getting some great interceptions and moving ahead to 23–18.  Hinckley came out in the fourth quarter and pushed hard in both defence and attack, losing the quarter by just one goal, however this was not quite enough with the final score 32–26 to Cherry Bombs. Player of the match was awarded to GA Anna Poulsen.
